Chillin' at the Hapuna Beach Prince Hotel, Kona, Big Island, Hawai'i. (Oct. 2010)

This picture was taken in 1999 in the chapel of a small Hawai'ian church in Punalu'u on the southern coast of the Big Island of Hawai'i. (Self portrait using camera timer.) It was inspiring to be in a grace space, and the light was right! (I am holding

Hambone in a tree playing ukulele, Kailua-Kona town, Big Island, Hawai'i. (2001)

At Heron Lake, NM (north central) in July 2011. I got stung by hornets three days earlier. The red spot on the side of my nose marks the spot where I got dissed. Buggers... OW! Wow.

In Taos, NM, July 2011 at my friend Jean Jacques and Tara's place just off the plaza.

Bliss, Bliss, Bliss

Nalu means "wave" in Hawaiian.

Funny How I Got the Nalu Too...

Waves come naturally in the family. (Boy that coconut feels good on my gums.)

First Puke on Pop! (Dad is 46, Son is 3 months - Old Dog WIth New Trick!)

Having Fun Sunning Your Buns. (Love those fresh, clean sheets!)

Hambone With Pineapple (Still-life image from the backyard garden, 2011.) (Note how gray hair has emerged since 2003 when it was almost all brown... Each one another shred of wisdom, I like to think.)

Playing a gig at "Basically Books" in Hilo, 2012.

July, 2013 at the beach on Hanalei Bay, Kauai, Hawai'i, hanging under the Kamani trees that line the shore, after gigging poolside at the Saint Regis Princeville Resort. A busker at the palace, no doubt. Lovely. The sunset light for this picture was nice.

September 27, 2012, Hilo, Hawaii. I love to garden, and this was a Russian Mammoth sunflower that I grew in a 20 gallon (80 liter) bucket. Daily water and plenty of chicken poop spiked with mineral fertilizer made them mammoth, indeed. This picture highli

August 12th, 2013, a couple of weeks after my 56th birthday, I decided that I needed to put Henna on my hair to tone down the gray. I'm too much of a hippy to use hair dye, and oh well, I am resigned to getting gray anyway, what the hay, someday we all go

Spring, 2013, on the serious side, holding a corm of Taro (Okinawan Taro, aka Dasheen, Araimo, Kalo Potato). The leave was variegated on this specimen, unusual.

January, 2013, Hambone-ing at the US National Park "City of Refuge", Pu'uohonua O Honaunau, near Kealakekua, South Kona, Big Island. This is a major sweet spot with lots of tidal pools and Coconut Palm shade. I am playing the ukulele that I used on the Co
